Understanding the Talmud

The book relays several dozen phrases which are used over and over in the Gemorah to alert the reader what is happening in the sugiya, such as a refute that will not be accepted, etc. This book explains these and gives examples. If one masters this book--which you can't just read this once but need use concurrently over time while learning Gemorah--then one will be able to independently study any section of the Talmud (minus odd-ball vocab). This book is the "master key" on how to read the Gemorah.

Beware - it will take absorb u till all u want is to go back and start all over again.

I just started using. I took a small portion - in the Art Scroll - white space to white space. And then started to break the structure apart. And it was amazing what u will find there!!!
