- telling it like it really isI thoroughly enjoyed this work even though I did not necessarily agree with all of his conclusions. It is witty but serious and quite thought provoking; tackles head on the issues that most people are afraid to deal with - including an excellent essay on Zionism and an even better one on earning vs. learning. Landesman has the courage to write the things that most of us think and for this alone he should be commended. The book is also well written - a rarity in most contemporary Jewish literature. Well worth the purchase price.
- Fascinating book about highschool life w/lots of "This book is perfect reading for parents, educators, rabbis, youth coordinators and even for students in high schools. Rabbi Landesman put into this book his spiritual and educational knowledge, devotion to teaching and relating to young people - simply - mentchlichkeit. Reading this book was interesting because I was fascinated and challenged in different real life topics/situations and in sometimes funny/amazing almost unreal stories. Cannot wait to read hopefully his other - follow up book.
- A Great BookRabbi Landesman's book is a great read. The essays are insightful, educational and entertaining. I cannot wait for the sequel.
