Umadrich Hapshitus (Hebrew Only)

Rabbeinu Dovid ben Yehoshua HaMaimoni, a seventh-generation descendant of the Rambam, wrote, at the request of a student, a sefer dealing with abstention (from earthly pleasures) and seclusion, "to show the way for the attainment of the true path of Chassidus." The sefer was translated from Arabic, and punctuated thoroughly with references cited, based on the only manuscript extant from the author. Includes a chapter on seclusion from Rav Avrohom ben HoRambam (from his "Hamaspik LeOvdei Hashem") and a chapter dealing with the the method of abstention practiced by the pious Jews of Egypt and descendants of the Rambam.
