Halachah L'Moshe (Hebrew Only)

Categories: Halacha

Halacha LeMoshe on the Rambams Yad HaChazakah was first printed in Salonika in 1712-1715. Although it is essentially based on the Rambams code, the uniqueness of this work lies in the way that the author summarizes the Gemara and explains opposing opinions of other Rishonim, rendering it equally invaluable to the study of the Gemara itself.

This edition includes several beneficial additions: an index cross-referencing to Bava Kamma, the source for most of the laws of Nizkei Mamon (monetary damages); an index for the rest of Shas as well as for Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat. Additionally, the text has been arranged in paragraphs, and has been enhanced by references to source material.

Rabbi Moshe Amarillo (1696-1748), a renowned Posek, authored Sheeilos UTeshvnos Dibber Moshe, Yedei Moshe on the Torah, and served as Chief Rabbi of Constantinople from approximately 1741 until his demise.
