Description

Voice of the Dove is a verse-by-verse examination of the Book of Ruth through the eyes of the Dubner Maggid. A legendary Torah scholar and master orator, the Maggid conveyed his deep insights through parables. Now the Maggid's wisdom is accessible to the English-speaking public. His commentary centers on two themes: the special relationship between G-d and the Jewish People, and the best way the Jewish People can achieve spiritual growth and come close to G-d. Voice of the Dove also contains commentary on Exodus Chapter 19, the Giving of the Torah, which is read on Shavuos, as is the Book of Ruth. A history of the life and works of the Maggid is also included. This year, learn the Book of Ruth in new depth with the Voice of the Dove.

To read this Sefer was an amazing discovery! It is much needed in our generation as interpersonal relationships Bein Adam L'Chavero Mitzvos make up many of the 613 Mitzvos, and are so important!! Yom Kippur is not Mechaper on Mitzvos Bein Adam L'Chaveiro. As well, Derech Eretz Kadma LaTorah.
After I began learning this sefer on the phone with a friend for a few months, she decided it was very necessary for our Dor. She began two groups of Shiurim for women in the community on this sefer. Tizku L'Mitzvos U'Lmarbitz Torah B'Rabim!
