beautiful cookbook with fantastic delicious recipes
I ordered this cookbook earlier this year, and I have to say that I have made almost every recipe in the book. I am very pleased with my purchase, as every recipe has been amazing. The layout is efficient. Reyna is a blessing and her cookbook has become my favorite. :) I highly recommend this cookbook, even to persians who grew up with this cuisine, but like in my family some things don't get written down, and recreating the recipe can be challenging. Reyna's versions are very accurate, and she has won me over to the more modern methods of preparing persian cuisine.
So, after ordering this cookbook, and using it, and loving it! I have ordered another to give as a Chanukkah gift. :) -
A treasure trove of persian cuisine
As non-Persian who spent many formative years immersed in Persian and other Sephardic cuisine (mainly Moroccan), I found this book an absolute treasure trove of culinary delights. There were dishes in this book that I had long forgotten and thoroughly enjoyed making. It made me nostalgic in the best way possible. In addition to great recipes, the author’s anecdotes had me laughing in the sense of ‘I’ve been there; I know exactly what you’re talking about’. I would definitely recommend this book.
Even if you have never tasted Persian food, there will be something in this book that you will love.
