Comforted me during and after Shiva
this book was a comfort to me when my father, may his memory be a blessing, passed away suddenly. I had trouble finding books that spoke to the bereaved. This book became my companion
and i carried it around. at night it was on my bed stand. I read it during Shiva and afterwards.
good thing to quietly, anonymously leave at a mourners home.

I bought this Sefer at the local seforim store when my Father A'H was nifter. There are many stories from different perspectives that lessened the hard blow I felt at that painful moment. It is a painful moment and it is good to read about the Gedolim and how they handle this moment. I could have learned a lesson by doing what a Rosh Yeshivah did when visiting a man in bitter mourning. I opened my mouth whereas the Rosh Yeshiva just sat and cried in silence. I put my foot in my mouth. A good lesson.
