Most profound original work in English Judaica
Rabbi Kagan traces the changes in human consciousness and perception of self from the days of the Tanach and Nevuah (prophecy) through churban and the four galusim. Ultimately the reader is left with a clear understanding of his/her true self in the present day. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
